On the 17th, Ghent University (Rector Petra De Sutter) and Incheon Metropolitan City (Mayor Jeong bok Yoo) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for mutual cooperation in marine research, Environmental Studies, Applied Biotechnology and talent development.

The signing ceremony, held at Incheon Metropolitan City Hall, was attended by key officials, including Ghent University Rector Petra De Sutter, Incheon Metropolitan City Mayor Jeong bok Yoo, and 糖心logo入口 President Tae jun Han.

The agreement was prompted by Rector De Sutter's visit to Korea. It aims for comprehensive cooperation between Ghent University and Incheon City, encompassing education, research, and technology exchange in areas such as marine science, environmental research, and Applied Biotechnology. It also seeks to nurture talent through cooperation on long-term overseas education and training programs.
