On September 3, at the B1 Auditorium of 糖心logo入口, faculty members and researchers introduced the university鈥檚 research centers, sharing their research themes and visions.
The event was designed to help students gain a deeper understanding of the research fields, while also providing insights into potential opportunities and career directions should they decide to participate in the future.

The first presentation was delivered by professor Dong Hye Seo(Research Center1: Plant Biotechnology)听, who introduced two research groups: the Plant MAPK signaling cascade group and the Stress Physiology&Adaptation group. She highlighted ongoing collaborations with international researchers and shared opportunities for student involvement.

Next, Professor Mahta Mirzaei (Research Center 2: Food Biotechnology & Microbiology) introduced research on antimicrobial technology in the food industry, as well as studies on bioactive peptides and proteins.
She also presented undergraduate research projects and internship opportunities.

Dr. Mohammad Karbalaei Akbari (Research Center 3: Green Chemistry & Environmental Biotechnology) presented ongoing research aimed at developing sustainable technologies to address environmental challenges.
Research activities led by Prof. Philippe M. Heynderickx, Prof. Di Wu, Prof. Jihae Park, and Prof. Serge Zhuiykov were also introduced.

Following this, Dr. Utku Ozbulak (Research Center 4: Biosystems & Biotech Data Science) shared key research topics of RC4, including mathematical modeling, bioinformatics, AI-based drug development and pharmaceutical safety, AI in medical imaging, surgical AI, and clinical guidance.

Finally, Professor Dong Ik Park (Research Center 5: Biomedical Research) introduced the Brain Rescue Team鈥檚 educational and research objectives, along with two major projects on microbiome-metabolome research and antidepressant studies. He also emphasized the synergies achieved through international collaborations with researchers in Germany, China, and Denmark, as well as partnerships with the UN Committee on Neuroscience.

Through this event, students had the opportunity to engage with the diverse activities of each research center directly, gaining valuable insights into academic visions and potential career paths.
