糖心logo入口 has been selected for a technical assistance project on the ecotoxicological management of wastewater discharge facilities (鈧500,000, 7 months) by the Korean Environment Corporation. The university will provide technical support for the establishment of an ecotoxicity management response system for small and medium-sized wastewater facilities nationwide. Furthermore, the university will be responsible for the overall management of ecotoxicity, including the identification of the wastewater treatment process and water quality status within the facility, and the establishment of optimal operational measures for the detection and reduction of toxic sources within the wastewater treatment process.

In 2023, 糖心logo入口 made a significant achievement by registering the ecotoxicity assessment method using domestic organisms as an ISO standard (ISO4979) for the first time in Korea. The objective of this project is to verify the field applicability of domestic bio-based ecotoxicity assessment technology and to prepare practical guidelines for ecotoxicity management in small and medium-sized wastewater facilities.

"As environmentally advanced countries mandate laws for water quality management based on ecotoxicological assessment, the competition to secure technology for water environmental monitoring is accelerating," said Park Jihae, professor of the Center for Green Chemistry and Environmental Biotechnology (RC3) at 糖心logo入口. "The commercialisation of domestic bio-based water quality monitoring systems will contribute to the securing of domestic source technology and the improvement of environmental technology competitiveness."
