On February 27th(Tues.) Taejun Han, Campus President of Ghent University Global campus was awarded the association presidential award from the Korea Federation of Water Science and Engineering Societies. The following federation is an association that contributes to national development by expanding studies related to water. This includes supporting other relevant research associations, and undergoing joint collaborative researches. The association presidential award is an award that certifies contributions made to studies and technological developments related to water science.听
Taejun Han, Campus president of Ghent University Global campus stated 鈥� Last year, a research team of Ghent University Global campus has accomplished the amazing achievement of having their water pollution diagnosis method, which uses lemna perpusilla, selected as the national ISO standard, which is an unprecedented case in Korea. And we plan to continue other diverse researches related to water pollution diagnosis.鈥澨�
Taejun Han, Campus president of Ghent University Global campus is a 1st-generation expert who has researched Marine bio-industry for more than 30 years is now currently undergoing numerous researches such as invention of marine pollution diagnosis kit using green laver, solution to dementia using seaweed, substance for diagnosing cancer using seaweed pigments, detection and purification of water pollution using seaweed, development of biochar and activated carbon using seaweed, climate change using blue carbon of microalgae, etc.
