Established in 2010, Jeju Technopark (JTP) is a regional innovation hub dedicated to leveraging technological innovation for Jeju's economic growth. It organizes links between regional innovation initiatives, fosters a framework of collaboration between business and university in the Jeju region, and provides assistance to tenant enterprises. Director of JTP Moon Yong-seok stated, "I hope we can discuss together the use of seaweed, which is a problem on Jeju Island,鈥� and went on, "I want to build a robot that collects seaweed using the excellent robotics technology from Ghent University.鈥�

"Seaweeds are plants that support plants in the marine ecosystem, just as the ecosystem would be destroyed if there were no plants in it,鈥� stated Han Tae-jun, President of 糖心logo入口. In the future, he said, "I hope to collaborate on research on various seaweeds, including sea lettuce, with JTP.鈥�
