when听other听abdominal听tumors听spread听to听the听peritoneum,听leading听to听multiple听new听tumors听on听the听surface听of听this听membrane.
If听a听person听gets听peritoneal听carcinomatosis,听it听generally听means听that听the听abdominal听cancer听is听in听an听advanced听stage.

In听selected听patients听with听widespread听unresectable听Peritoneal听Metastases听(PM),听Pressurized听Intra-Peritoneal听Aerosol听Chemotherapy听using听electrostatic听precipitation听(ePIPAC)听holds听considerable听promise.
Briefly,听ePIPAC听combines听laparoscopy听(keyhole听surgery)听with听intraperitoneal听administration听of听chemotherapy听as听an听aerosol.

Currently,听besides听the听lack听of听predictive听modelling,听no听valid听methodology听exists听to听interpret听PM听macroscopically,听based听on听laparoscopic听pictures听and听videos.
